KOH-I-NOOR HARDTMUTH is one of the world's leading companies in the manufacture and distribution of first-class writing instruments for artists, schools, and offices. The company is part of the KOH-I-NOOR holding group. The company was founded by Josef Hardtmuth in Vienna in 1797, but production was moved to České Budějovice in 1848. Over the years, KOH-I-NOOR pencils have been a big hit at lots of world fairs. The products have been awarded prizes at numerous world exhibitions, including in New York in 1855, Paris in 1856, 1900 and 1925, London in 1861, Vienna in 1881 and Milan in 1905.
